If you are already a certified Scuba Diver and ready to take the next step in your diving journey, this course is designed for you. It allows you to upgrade your current certification to become an Open Water Diver, which enables you to dive independently (with a certified buddy) to a maximum depth of 18 meters (60 feet), without the need for professional supervision.
To complete the upgrade, the following requirements must be fulfilled:
1. Read chapters 4 and 5 of the Open Water Diver material (manual or e-Learning), which cover deeper diving concepts, navigation, and dive planning;
2. Confined Water Training 4 and 5, where you’ll refine your underwater skills and practice more advanced techniques in a controlled environment; and,
3. Complete two additional Open Water Dives, applying your knowledge and skills in real diving conditions.
This upgrade is the final step in completing your full Open Water Diver certification and gives you greater freedom and flexibility to dive around the world.
